HAPPY HALLOWEE

Happy Halloween, I thought I would share a picture back from 1998, our two sons were very active in cub scouts, and so were my husband and I. We were den leaders and also Pack leaders. This was for the Halloween Stroll in Sanborn Park, Port Huron, MI. Non profits and clubs get together and build and design things for kids to go through at the park on a Halloween Stroll and collect candy, it was always the Saturday before Halloween. We built this space ship with building styrofoam and the boys helped paint it and made masks. They had a terrific time and everyone loved the space ship. We later brought it home and put it on our roof for Halloween, with lights of course. We had lots of people stopping to see the ship. Thanks for visiting me today and Happy Halloween. Hugs, Terri

LOOK WHAT'S IN OUR YARD

Hello Everyone, Thank you for visiting me today. We live on Black River and our home is on the edge of a hill. We have 15 Turkeys who come by and visit us each day, to eat the bird seed that we put out each day. They come to the north side of the house to eat,and we have a terraced yard and the turkeys walk down the stairs and have found our french glass doors leading to our basement. They believe that they are seeing other turkeys in the glass and then they spread out their feathers. We have so much fun watching them each day, my husband was able to go down to the basement and get within a foot of the glass doors and the turkey's to take these pictures. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Terri

I everyone, I have really been absent with Tea Cup Tuesday, for that I am sorry, just so many things going on here. We went to visit our son at the University of Michigan a couple weeks ago and there is a town right next to Ann Arbor called Kerrytown and there is a wonderful store there called The Treasure Mart here is their blog http://thetreasuremart.wordpress.com/ it is a old home that is filled to the brim with things. The great part of this store is that everything is discounted 10% every thirty days, so if you go in and something has been there for 5 months you get it half off. They have lots of china and dishes and just about everything else. If you are ever in the area you must go. Well this is where I found this beautiful soup/tea cup, I actually bought two of them. I love the gold on it and the flowers are morning glories, what is interesting is the the saucer is worped, but I love that about it. It was made in Austria and it also says Victoria and Carlsbad on the bottom. I love how delicate it is. Thank you Terri and Martha for Tea Cup Tuesday, please visit the others by clicking on the tea cup on my side bar.

HALLOWEEN TREAT BOX SWAP

We had a wonderful swap at the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group, it was hosted by Melanie. The Halloween Treat Box Swap was really a fun swap, it was a PIF swap and I made my box for Terri Heinz. I really enjoyed making this box for her and filling it with wonderful things. We were to make one item for the box, I made the Marie frame, the lace french book and also the ribbon flowers. My box was so full that I could not put the top on tight. I guess next time I should fill the box first before I decorate it. Terri is such a wonderful person and it has been great getting to know her better, she also hosts Tea Cup Tuesday with Martha. She has already received her box, so I thought I would share it you. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I wish you a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

This is a picture of Anna, this picture was taken of Anna two weeks ago, she was the flower girl at her Aunts wedding, she was killed on Thursday. She was only 2 1/2 years old. Everyone's hearts are just broken. The second picture is of my son Stephen holding his niece Anna in May of this year. MY DRESS FORM HAS A NEW DRESS

Hi Everyone, thank you for visiting me today. About a month ago I was up north Michigan at an Antique Store, I spotted this dress hanging on a hanger, all wrinkled, but I loved the wonderful combination of peach with blue and I loved the beautiful flower print in the blue material. It reminded me of vintage feed sacks. When I saw this dress I thought oh it will be too expensive, well to my surprise it was $10.00 and then 20 percent off, so the price of this lovely dress was $8.00. This week I decided to iron it, and it came out pretty good, I did not want to have the iron too high or spray water on it, because it is very old material, I think it came out pretty good. I still want to add some ribbons and flowers.

You know how much I love Marie Antoinette, well this dress reminds me of a dress Marie would wear everyday, maybe while out in her garden. I just love it. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Terri
