TEA CUP TUESDAY

Hello and Welcome to my blog today, well it is Tea Cup Tuesday again. I want to thank Terri and Martha for hosting this wonderful event each week. We visited our son at the University of Michigan on Saturday and we went to the wonderful Treasure Mart, I love that place, it was full of wonderful things, lots and lots of beautiful teacups and the prices are fabulous, all under $10.00. So many to pick from, I won't tell you how many I purchased, but these are two of them. They are very simple in color, but the cups have such a beautiful shape and they are embossed. They are both made in Germany, I really have not had time to look into these cups. Please click on the teacup on my sidebar and visit all the other beautiful tea cups today. Thanks again for visiting me today and I hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

I HAVE SUCH WONDERFUL FRIENDS...........

One thing I have to say is that I have such wonderful friends in the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group and also in blog land, I have never met these beautiful ladies in person, I hope to some day. I know we would just have a wonderful time together. It was a rough week for me, my Aunt Harriett passed away last week, she was my last Aunt alive on my father's side. Then came these wonderful gifts from my friends. The order that I am showing is the order that I received them. This beautiful dress form is from Debi Huntsman, she is just the sweetest person and I just love her. I did not join this swap and had wished I had after I seen her beautiful dress forms, so look what came in the mail, I just love it Debi you are the nicest person. I will treasure your beautiful work. She has the most beautiful blog, just click on her name and you will see what I mean. Thank you so much Debi.

I received this beautiful Valentines card and 2011 Calender from my friend Wendy Robinson, she sent me a Calender last year and I just loved it, the size was perfect and so beautiful, I loved using it all year, so when I got another, I was just thrilled. Wendy's work is just beautiful. She does not have a blog but you have to look at her beautiful work in flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/23335778@N04/

These are the most beautiful sheets I have seen. I don't want to use them, but she sells them in her wonderful Etsy shop, which is closed right now while she is recovering. THE HEART I CREATED

We are having a Valentine Gala on the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group to celebrate Valentines, we had one for Halloween and oh we had so much fun. I am hosting a Cloth Valentine Heart Contest on the site. Each person will create a heart from the same pattern, but they can use what ever material and trims and colors they want their own heart to be. I love hearts so I really enjoyed making this example to show them. Mine will not be entered in the contest, but I am so excited, it will be so wonderful to see what others will create. I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for visiting me today. Hugs, Terri

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS I MADE

When I was young and having my children, I did not care what sex they were as long as they were healthy, and I was truly blessed with two healthy son's. But what woman does not secretly want to have a daughter. My next thought was that my wonderful son's would find wonderful ladies, and yes, my husband and I must have done something right, I have one daughter in law and one that will be in the near future. I think of these ladies as my daughters, they are just wonderful and I love them so much. We always have such a wonderful time together. I wanted to make them something for Christmas this year, so I decided to make them each a necklace. The first one is for Nicole. I found this wonderful pendant and the initials were G N, but these vintage pendants were made to put your initials in them, so I was able to change it to N G. The other necklace was for Chrissy, she loves blue so I bought this wonderful vintage dress clip and made her's. They both loved them and it was such a treat to give my "daughters" these gifts. Thanks for visiting me today and have a lovely week. Hugs, Terri
