I HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED

Oh My Gosh, I just received my copy of Sonia's Creating Vintage Charm new magazine and I have a whole page dedicated to my art. I have always wanted my art to be published, but I never had the nerve to submit my work to any magazines and probably never would, in my mind I was always worried about rejection and that my art just was not good enough. I met Sonia in the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group and she contacted me about putting some of my work in her first issue, I said sure, being a little nervous, wow her magazine arrived today. It is the most beautiful magazine I have ever seen. My favorite magazines were always the Somerset magazines, well I want to tell you that this magazine is amazing. The paper used is thick and the photographs are so beautiful. There are amazing tutorials, I can not put this magazine down. I also won one of her giveaways for another copy, which I was just thrilled with. One to keep looking at and one to keep nice. If you have not ordered your copy you really should, you will love it. Thank you so much Sonia for including me in your first issue, it is such an honor and for your wonderful giveaway. Thank you for visiting me and I hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs, Terri

TEA CUP TUESDAY

I'm late, I'm late. I guess better late than never. Today has been pouring rain, we have finally got a break. I could not get a good picture when it was so dark outside. Thank you for joining me today for Martha's & Terri's wonderful Tea Cup Tuesday. The cup and saucer that I am sharing with you today, I just purchased yesterday. I stopped at a local resale shop and found this beautiful cup and saucer, I love the mint green color and all the beautiful gold trim and of course I love the flowers inside the cup and in the middle of the saucer. On the bottom of the cup is the name Taylorskent and it also has Longton, England on it with a horse and it says bone china. I just want to thank Martha and Terri for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday and thank you for visiting me today. I hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

CREATING VINTAGE CHARM

My friend Sonia has a wonderful new magazine called Creating Vintage Charm. We are having a blog party to kick off her first issue. I can't wait to receive my copy. I thought I would share with you my sun room. I love this small cozy room on the back of my home. I have so many collections, my husband always says what don't you collect, I love all things vintage. In this room I have decorated it with my vintage aquarium mermaids, vintage aquarium houses, shells and lots of things that I have made. I made the shadow boxes to hold my mermaids, in the one shadow box is a picture of my sister and I when we were little, we were about to go swimming in Lake Huron. I made the shelf on the wall with an old drawer from a chest of drawers that was falling apart. I made the wreath with some of my collected shells and sea glass. I also made the mermaid shadow box a couple of years ago. I also collect vintage wall pockets and vintage flamingo's. Thanks for visiting me today and please check out all the other blogs that signed up for this wonderful party. You can click on Sonia's name to go to the list. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Terri

This tea cup I have had for a very long time, I can't remember where I purchased it or when, but I know I have had it for a long time. I thought I would also share a lovely tea pot that I love to use with this cup, it does not match it, but I like the look of them together. WHAT I FOUND OVER THE WEEKEND

Hello and thanks for visiting me today, I had to share this very unique item that I found this weekend. I found it at the Potatoe Barn Antique Store in West Branch, MI. I have never seen anything like it. It is all made of antique brass, it is an egg holder and it has a wish bone attached. I love wish bones, to me they are a sign of good luck. I picked it up and then put it down, but I just had to buy it, mostly for the fact it is so unique and I love how ornate it is. The only problem is I can't find an egg that fits in it. Regular eggs are too big and I have some quail eggs and they are too small, so now I am on a search for eggs. I also had some fake eggs and they are either too big or too small. I guess I am going to have fun egg hunting. Thanks for visiting me today and I hope everyone is having a great week. Hugs, Terri
