MY CLOTH BOOK

This is my cloth Marie book that I made, we are having an ephemera swap in the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group. You make your own book, any type, paper or cloth and any size with as many pages as you would like. Then we send each other ephemera to use to create our books. I am not done with mine, I know I will add more things and pages to it. This is just a start. Thanks for visiting my blog, have a wonderful week.

TEA CUP TUESDAY

Today is Tea Cup Tuesday, started by Martha and Terri, you can click on the button on my side bar to learn more. Today I am sharing with you two of my demitasse "half cup" tea cups, both of these cups have violets on them and I thought I would share these because my violets are blooming in my yard right now. I bought these cups when I was about 16 years old. None of my friends liked antiques, but I always did, and on Sunday's I would go by myself to a local flea market and this is where I found them. Also in the picture is another item I collect, they are violet possies, I don't know how old they are but I love them, they are made of glass beads. One cup is made in Japan and the other just has numbers on them. Thank you for visiting my blog today and if you would love to see more beautiful tea cups please click on the button on the side bar. Thank you Martha and Terri. I hope everyone has a lovely day.

WHAT I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK

I have had some requests to make some more of my trinket boxes, so this week I decided to make a bunch of them for my Etsy Shop. These little trinket boxes are so sweet, they are covered in beautiful colored french journal papers, I used vintage lace, vintage velvet leaves, flowers and rhinestones, the bigger ones have heart shells and some of them have tiny bird nests on them. I thought these would make wonderful Mother's Day gift boxes, they would be perfect for a pair of earrings or necklace for Mom, or I thought they would make a really cute box to give to a new Mother to store babies, hair or teeth. I have made them in three colors, pale blue, pink and aqua. Thank you for visiting my blog today. I love your comments and I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

TEA CUP TUESDAY

This is a very special teacup and sauer, I received for Mother's Day from my two son's. I can't remember the year they gave it to me, but they were both born so after 1990. I love the yellow roses on it, when I got married back in 1978, I carried yellow roses. The gold on it is just beautiful. It is made in England and the name of it is Regency. Thank you Martha and Terri for Tea Cup Tuesday's, it is fun to see all the lovely teacups, you can click the button on my side bar to see everyone's teacups. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, I love your comments. Have a wonderful Tuesday. Hugs, Terri

TEACUP TUESDAY

Today is Teacup Tuesday, and I got a very late start, working on tax things, I am so glad that tax day is just about over. This is my crazy teacup, but I really like how different it is. I have had this for years and usually I buy cups that are made in England, Germany, Bavaria, France. I have no idea where this cup was made, but I do believe it is really old. The gold along the brim is almost worn away. The colors in this cup are just beautiful with it's pink saucer. The back is rather plain, but the front is kinda crazy. The gold object sticks way out and I think that's what drew me to it. I also love the shape of the cup and the gold trim on it. It is very thin and it just has the number 46 on the bottom. Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you to Martha and Terri for Teacup Tuesday. Click on the button and to go see the other teacups .

TEACUP TUESDAY

Today I want to share another teacup that I have. I love the lace work on this teacup, also the blue. I usually pick teacups that are pink, but I loved the details of this one. I believe I bought this at an antique/thrift store in downtown Port Huron several years ago. I wish I could say that I was a big tea drinker, but I am not, coffee is my drink of choice, but I love teacups anyway. This teacup is a Royal Albert Crown and the name of it is Valentine, made in England. Click on the button next to this post to go to Terri's blog and see all the other blogs that have joined Teacup Tuesday this week. Thank you Terri and Martha, this is so much fun seeing all the beautiful teacups that others have. Thank you for visiting my blog today and have a wonderful day.

I WISH EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY EASTER

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter and hope you are spending the day with loved ones. I wanted to share one of my favorite Easter decorations. About 15 years ago, I spotted this vintage Easter Bunny Basket on Ebay, it was a mess, it is made of paper mache, wicker and wood. It is very heavy. The eyes were missing and the ears were cracked and almost broken off, but I loved it and thought I can fix this basket. I love to try and save things, so I paid $6.00 for it and when it came I loved how unique it was and spent days working on repairing it, I used paper clay and filled in all the cracks and replaced parts that were missing and put eyes on him and then re-touched up the paint to match. I wish I would have taken pictures of it when I bought it. My husband thought I was nuts. It took a long time, but I loved fixing it. Every Easter I get it out and enjoy it so much. I thought I would share with you this wonderful vintage basket. Thank you for visiting and Happy Easter.

THINGS I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON

Well, this week I was pretty well caught up with my swaps, so I thought I would do somethings that I have been wanting to do for a long time and putting them off. I have been wanting to decoupage for a while, but just could not get going, so this was the week. I had all these paper mache items and went a little crazy, I was running around looking for more things to decoupage, almost thought about doing dog (April Fools). I also found this wonderful bird cage at a craft/antique mall and it was painted while, so I painted it gold and added ribbons and a bird and vintage millinery flowers. I just love birds. Thanks for stopping in and visiting, I enjoy reading all your wonderful comments. The images that I used for my decoupage are from Karen at Graphics Fairy, http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/ she has new images everyday and they are beautiful and free. Thank you Karen, I love to visit her blog and see what is new.
