CREATING VINTAGE CHARM

My friend Sonia has a wonderful new magazine called Creating Vintage Charm. We are having a blog party to kick off her first issue. I can't wait to receive my copy. I thought I would share with you my sun room. I love this small cozy room on the back of my home. I have so many collections, my husband always says what don't you collect, I love all things vintage. In this room I have decorated it with my vintage aquarium mermaids, vintage aquarium houses, shells and lots of things that I have made. I made the shadow boxes to hold my mermaids, in the one shadow box is a picture of my sister and I when we were little, we were about to go swimming in Lake Huron. I made the shelf on the wall with an old drawer from a chest of drawers that was falling apart. I made the wreath with some of my collected shells and sea glass. I also made the mermaid shadow box a couple of years ago. I also collect vintage wall pockets and vintage flamingo's. Thanks for visiting me today and please check out all the other blogs that signed up for this wonderful party. You can click on Sonia's name to go to the list. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. THE MASK I MADE FOR KRIS

This is a mask that I made for Kris, we are having a wonderful swap at the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group hosted by Holly. Kris wanted a mask done in white, black and silver. I usually don't do black to often so I really enjoyed making this for her. I hope she likes it. Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you are having a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

TEA CUP TUESDAY

Hello, Thank you for visiting me today, I am getting a late start today, I can't believe it's Tea Cup Tuesday again, time sure seems to be going fast for me lately. Today's tea cup is part of a set of dishes that I own, I love vintage dishes and have many different sets. I love the color and the shape of the saucer. I like to use these dishes in the fall. The maker is Johnson Brothers and the name on the bottom is Pareek. I want to thank Martha and Terri for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday's, it has really been fun seeing every one's beautiful tea cups. TEA CUP TUESDAY

Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog today. Well it's Tea Cup Tuesday already, boy this last week went super fast, I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Weekend. This tea cup I have had for a very long time, I can't remember where I purchased it or when, but I know I have had it for a long time. I thought I would also share a lovely tea pot that I love to use with this cup, it does not match it, but I like the look of them together. It is a Royal Albert tea cup and the tea pot is a ironstone tea pot from England. Please visit the others by clicking on my side bar. Thank you Martha and Terri for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday. I hope everyone has a lovely week. Hugs, Terri

WHAT I FOUND OVER THE WEEKEND

Hello and thanks for visiting me today, I had to share this very unique item that I found this weekend. I found it at the Potatoe Barn Antique Store in West Branch, MI. I have never seen anything like it. It is all made of antique brass, it is an egg holder and it has a wish bone attached. I love wish bones, to me they are a sign of good luck. I picked it up and then put it down, but I just had to buy it, mostly for the fact it is so unique and I love how ornate it is. The only problem is I can't find an egg that fits in it. Regular eggs are too big and I have some quail eggs and they are too small, so now I am on a search for eggs. I also had some fake eggs and they are either too big or too small. I guess I am going to have fun egg hunting. Thanks for visiting me today and I hope everyone is having a great week. Hugs, Terri
