LOOK WHAT'S IN OUR YARD

Hello Everyone, Thank you for visiting me today. We live on Black River and our home is on the edge of a hill. We have 15 Turkeys who come by and visit us each day, to eat the bird seed that we put out each day. They come to the north side of the house to eat,and we have a terraced yard and the turkeys walk down the stairs and have found our french glass doors leading to our basement. They believe that they are seeing other turkeys in the glass and then they spread out their feathers. We have so much fun watching them each day, my husband was able to go down to the basement and get within a foot of the glass doors and the turkey's to take these pictures. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Terri

They are wonderful - how neat that you get to see them spread their feathers! We have them around here, but I only see them rarely.

OMGosh! Thanksgiving dinner delivered to your door! LOL (just kidding!)

That would be quite the sight. And what a wonderful fall decoration for your yard!
We have deer walk into our yard at the cabin, and it's always so fun to see!

Heh T - I can relate - we back on to a woodlot and have frequent "visits" - the funniest was the day I came home from work and a "gang" was on my garage roof (I kid you not) - hysterical watching them trying to jump off as I pulled in... True sign of fall. Jewels

Who says turkeys are ugly? I just love them.
I feed the birds, too. I also chase our neighbors cat out of yard as he waits to grab a bird......that darn cat!

Hi Terri:
When we lived in Wisconsin, we used to have resident turkeys. I loved when the toms would "dance" to attract the jennies. They're truly awesome birds! How wonderful for you to get photos of them so close!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
xoxo

A beautiful post, Terri, these turkeys are so beautiful and I love your photos. However, this kind of makes it hard for me to think about cooking one for Thanksgiving. Hmmmmm, will have to think of that one. : )
