WE GOT OUR FIRST SNOW!

Well on Sunday, we got our first snow, but this was a very strange storm, when it started snowing it was warm outside, so it was like an ice storm and a snow storm on top of it. Everything is covered in a layer of ice and then we got 8-10 inches of snow on top, and then the temperature dropped to 10 degrees and the 30 miles an hour winds hit, blowing and drifting snow. There are lots of people without power and the school kids have had a second snow day. They are having trouble clearing the roads because the temps are so low, with the wind chill its -7. I thought I would share some pictures, the poor trees are really bent. Thanks for visiting me today and have a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

It sure is a beautiful winter wonderland, lovely to admire when you are tucked up inside all nice and cosy, not so good when you have to go out in it. Stay warm and well.

Look at the beautiful snow, if you can stay home and not have to drive, right? My family in Chicago had the same storm and they couldn't leave their homes. Time to talk on the phone and bake, they said.
