This is a picture of Anna, this picture was taken of Anna two weeks ago, she was the flower girl at her Aunts wedding, she was killed on Thursday. She was only 2 1/2 years old. Everyone's hearts are just broken. The second picture is of my son Stephen holding his niece Anna in May of this year. I am sick to the bottom of my heart. What a terrible tragedy for this entire family. Anna was a beautiful child, and now she rests in the arms of God. I am so very sorry for the family's loss, and for the life of the 22 year old woman who will be forever changed because, for an instant, she lost her focus.

I'd heard about the accident on the Seattle area news. I am SO sorry that your family has lost this dear, precious angel! My heart aches for you all.
It's not much, given the circumstances, but I'm going to donate to her memorial fund...
Hugs and prayers for all of you, including the young woman who apparently "triggered" the accident. I cannot imagine living with that guilt. I'm sure it has/is impacting her life in So many ways. And yet, this may also give her a perspective to make positive impacts on others as well,eventually. Young Anna's passing MAY be a major influence in her future choices and actions.
After losing my husband as the result of a car accident back in 1994, I can only say that his passing made me appreciate those in my life more AND letting them KNOW how important they are to me! That was HIS legacy,,at least to me. To say "I love you" more, to sieze the moments, to appreciate the little things. I think I was always kind of a "Glass half Full" kind of a Gal, and Lord knows, it took me time to heal and put it all in perspective. But I've often said that Karl's death was the WORST and the BEST thing that happened to me. That sounds a bit odd, BUT I am grateful for gaining a lot of perspective of what is truly important after his death.
I can only hope that in time, and after some healing, this sudden and SO tragic a loss will remind those who loved Anna, that yes, life IS precious. Those we love and care about ARE precious. And that it is important to remember above and beyond anything else in our lives. Not possessions, not accomplishments,,,,,but Love. And love remains. Always. I hope that her passing gives them that Gift.
Because, it IS a gift and one that IS often only learned after the sudden loss of a loved one. But a VERY precious gift.
It's too early for these words to help. I KNOW you are all grieving. And, my heart aches for you all right now. But I hope,,,,,if you read these words and store them away, eventually, they WILL make sense and be a comfort.
